This guide will help you set up the other non-VR sessions on the same computer, or any other modpack where you can't drop the coremod. ![]() Vivecraft and the companion use a launchwrapper to set up the game instead of core mods - this cleans up the launching process, since you don't have to create 1000 different versions of the same core jar for each different profile you have. I'm not sure if this is the easiest method, but it's not very difficult. So I did a bit of digging and fiddling around, and I managed to get this working for MultiMC. So I've almost reached my goal of being able to play Vivecraft with my kids, except for the last step, making the VR animations visible by adding a companion mod. Maybe the Forge Server Mod would work, I successfully used that before with an older version, but it's not available for the latest version 1.11.2 yet and I found no way to extract a working version from the non-VR client download. jar mod, not the installer that's offered on the Vivecraft download page. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to add that to the MultiMC instances. The solution would be installing the NonVR Companion into the non-VR instances. Playing together works, there's just one problem remaining: The PC players can't see the VR animations. Now I can connect all three clients to the server, running the three Minecraft/Vivecraft instances and the server on a single computer. Also verified it's being loaded correctly by the server. Installed the Vivecraft Spigot Extensions server plugin. Using a dedicated server with a Vivecraft plugin is the recommend way to play with others." That's why I created a dedicated server on my computer using Spigot. To get all players together, I'd have liked to simply use the "Open to LAN" option, but the Vivecraft multiplayer help says: "However some minor bugs may be present and VR animation is not supported. Now I can run the VR version on the Vive and the two PC instances all at the same time. Installed a third Minecraft, this time using the official installer, and installed Vivecraft into this (unfortunately that was necessary as I couldn't find a way to integrate it with MultiMC, which would have been preferred to keep everything optimally organized). This lets one player use a joypad while the other is using keyboard and mouse.
